Tough Love

If you’ve been following me for any time at all, you have learned that most men go through life with unmet emotional needs.

Men have a deep, God-given needs for our attention, acceptance, affection, appreciation, & admiration. Most of all they need empathy. Except when they don’t.

Sometimes they need something different.
Something that can be difficult for us to give them.

That is, they need to experience the consequences of their behavior. The Bible puts it this way,

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. GALATIANS 6:7-8

However, we women can be overly compassionate nuturers who prevent the men we love from reaping the natural consequences of their actions. That is, we become rescuers & enablers that prevent men from making the changes they need to make.
